Project description:
The project was aimed at developing solutions for sustainable urban mobility, in particular:
- Developing the Sustainable Mobility Strategy for the city of Nakło nad Notecią;
- Construction of the Commune Bike System (i.e. purchase of a fleet of bicycles, including electric ones, used by residents in the sharing model, designing of a bicycle paths’ system);
- Implementation of electromobility standards in the commune – the installation of vehicle charging stations is a part of the pilot project. It allows to verify whether the lack of appropriate infrastructure actually prevents residents from becoming interested in vehicles with drives other than internal combustion.
A complementary topic of the project was the improvement of air quality.
The following contributed to:
- Development of the Green Space Development Programme in the city of Nakło nad Notecią and the Low-Emission Economy Plan;
- Update of the Environmental Protection Programme;
- Installation of a pilot green wall composed of anti-smog plants.
The foundation for the effective implementation of the Smart City strategy is the communication system with residents. It is an interactive and functional IT architecture (a tool for mobile devices based on a website). The system is expandable and supplemented with new modules and can be used for two-way communication with residents.
